Jess’ co-hosts asked her if she’d received a similar amount for her appearance in the jungle last year.

‘You son of a**! I know why you’re asking me this. You have got a big smile on your face,’ she said, before revealing she was paid less than $40,000.

Jess placed third in last year’s season of I’m a Celebrity.

She also admitted they’d paid off a friend’s car loan, bought two lawnmowers and even bought a block of land on Queensland’s Russell Island.

The mother of two told Daily Mail Australia at the time they originally had plans to become full-time property developers, but things changed when they returned home and decided to splash the cash instead.

Jess and Norm are parents to son Fred, six, and daughter Matilda, four.
